Pharos House is a non-profit residential re-entry center which assists Maine residents who have been convicted of a federal offense. At Pharos House, residents complete the final months of their sentences while reintegrating back into their communities.
Pharos House has been operating in Portland, Maine since 1972 and we have helped over 4000 residents reintegrate.
We seek to offset criminogenic risk factors for recidivism including: unemployment, homelessness, and substance abuse by facilitating exposure to protective factors such as networks of social support, education, employment, stable housing, and involvement in self-improvement programs.
